| I find what del Toro is saying about entertainment and storytelling interesting. He is sounding more ambitious than pretty much any other director out there, not only talking about his own future stories but the very nature of storytelling and entertainment in general within the next decade. I'm not sure about his comment regarding the PS3, where he basically says that it is the be-all-and-end-all of systems to bring us the ultimate narrative experience, he still seems awfully sure in all of what he's say | There's been much talk about a sequel to the 2008 surprise [[https://Superheromoviespot.com/|Superhero Movie Games DLC|Https://Superheromoviespot.Com/]] hit, Hancock , with conversation picking up particularly when it comes to the cast of Will Smith, Charlize Theron and Jason Bateman possibly returning to do another. Director Peter Berg said a few months ago that everyone was excited to return , but not long after that Bateman came out and said he hadn't heard anything about him returning (we're still not sure if that cluelessness was applicable to Smith and Theron, t |

| "With Pan's Labyrinth and The Devil's Backbone, which is a less well-known film, I was trying the same thing, in a way. And with my first feature, the vampire fable Cronos, too. I tried to take genre premises and explore them obliquely, where the fantastic is either tangential or illuminates reality in a different w | Will Smith plays, of course, the title character: an apparently homeless alcoholic who just happens to have super-powers. When we meet him he's sleeping on a bench, cradling a bottle of whiskey - a young boy tries to wake him up because there's a freeway chase happening in which the bad guys are causing huge havoc and shooting at civilians indiscriminately. Hancock is none to eager to help, and the boy ends up calling him an A-hole, except not abbreviated. It's a term that is used over and over and over in the f |

| Well now Zack Snyder has confirmed exactly what the Watchmen DVD/Blu-ray will and will not feature, so if you want to know just how much extra Watchmen you'll be getting for your buck, check out what Snyder had to | What knocked the score down? The villain of the film comes out of nowhere, barely gets any screen time and just doesn't even seem like they're a part of the movie - so it was kind of non-sequiter. I won't get into spoilers, but considering what the villain knows about Hancock, how this person figured they'd be able to actually kill him is beyond |

| I also liked the amount of collateral damage he caused at the beginning of the film and the real-world reactions to it. One of the things you learn as a comic book fan is that you probably wouldn't want to live in a city where they fight crime. They cause millions in damage every time the fight some supervill | However the end result was pretty damned entertaining (the pre-screen audience applauded when it was over), and stick around for a couple of minutes once the credits start rolling to see a really great bonus scene (no need to hang around to the end of the credits, though). | Lost should win Best TV Show (I love Dexter , but it's no Lost ); Best Horror Movie should go to Let The Right One In (I would say Drag Me To Hell , but since that's a comedy too, Let The Right One takes it for me); Best Actor in a Fantasy Movie Or TV Show should go to Brad Pitt for The Curious Case of Benjamin Button ; and Best Comic Book [[https://Superheromoviespot.com/|superhero movie games missions|https://superheromoviespot.com/]] should (EASILY) go to Watchm | Seriously though, I feel like this is all a vile bit of strategy to help Fox have a better $ummer at the multiplex in 2009. Think about it: if Watchmen gets knocked off the '09 lineup, it leaves the comic book lane wide open for Fox's own properties, most notably X-Men Origins: Wolverine . The simple truth is that Fox has reason to be scared: since the first trailer premiered , then the fan fervor at this year's Comic-Con , and now acclaimed directors like Kevin Smith spouting gospel about how freakin good Watchmen truly is , the movie has been blown-up as one the most highly anticipated releases of 2009. | "I originally wrote a very long outline for a TV series I wanted to do called 'The Strain.' And then the network president at Fox said to me, 'We do want something with vampires-but could you make it a comedy?' Obviously, I responded, 'No thank you' and 'Can I have my outline bac | It seems that Lawrence Gordon gave Warner Bros. the go-ahead to shoot the film. His top three can easily shift around depending on what kind of marketing the three films get and it’s the top six in the list he really looks forward to – with the last four added to round off the top | Last year was brutal, as I was covering the Con not only in general for Screen Rant but in particular for AdvancedIron.org , the number one Iron Man fan site in the world (with some help from my pal John Comerford). | But enough from me, what and who will YOU vote for? As stated, you can cast your votes over at Spike.com , and you can see if the winners match your picks when the Scream Awards 2009 air on October 27th this year on Spike | When asked about whether Hancock 2 would be his next film AFTER Battleship , Berg said he wants to do Lone Survivor , which tells the tale of, "17 seals that were killed in one gunfight in Afghanistan. One survived." But what about after that? Well, Berg didn't say, but hasn't ruled out a sequel to his action-adventure, The Rundown . He's not sure why there hasn't already been plans put in place to do The Rundown 2 , but said he'd definitely be up for doing anot |

| Along with the awards, the show will also be airing some exclusive, world premiere of footage of some of the most anticipated movies of 2010! Presenters and musicians for the event are to be announced shor | When Kick-Ass eventually does get a release, it'll be interesting to see how it does at the box office. Much in the same way as Watchmen , this isn't a well known property outside the "comic book geek" world, and like Watchmen it's very violent. By now we know how (not) great Watchmen did at the box office ; however Wanted (another little-known comic book adapted into a violent movie) was a surprise hit at the box office, so who kn |

| The nominees have been announced for the fourth annual Scream Awards, held every year by Spike TV . The decisively more "fan-friendly" award ceremony (compared to the Oscars) honors films from the sci-fi, fantasy, horror and comic-book genres of movies, TV shows and comic books. The awards are described as, "the first and only global event of its kind," to honor those gen | Enduring the almost literally ear splitting (due to the almost non-stop screaming of female fans) Twilight panel, having to listen to questions from the audience like "boxers or briefs," and watching some of the castmembers totally work the audience with their "yeah I know I'm hot" attit |

| To borrow a question from the interviewer: Is this another Barrack Obama-type case where del Toro is trying to do everything at once?
