The recently launched pre-orders for Black Myth: Wukong show that there are four distinct versions of the game, the Standard Edition , Digital Deluxe Edition , Deluxe Edition , and Collector's Edition . Physical releases of Black Myth: Wukong are limited to the Deluxe and Collector's Editions, with the Standard and Digitial Deluxe Editions including digital-only pre-order bonuses that players will be able to download and claim in-game. Again, players should keep in mind that the physical Deluxe and Collector's Editions of Black Myth: Wukong will not include a disc and instead provide players with a digital download code, though both editions come with a slew of physical collectib

At that point, serious damage can be dealt to the boss, all while it flails around in pain on the ground. One already-popular player skill is Immobilize, which allows players to briefly freeze their opponent, leaving them open to a potential barrage of attacks. However, it has been confirmed that Immobilize doesn't work on all of Wukong 's bosses, so experimentation will be

Soulslike fans have been eagerly anticipating the upcoming Black Myth: Wukong for just over 4 years, but that wait is finally nearing its end as the game's August release date fast approaches. Taking inspiration from the Classical 16th Century Chinese novel Journey to the West , Black Myth: Wukong puts players in the shoes of The Monkey King himself, Sun Wukong, as he takes on all manner of creatures from Eastern mythology. One of the questions players have had about the game during its long development was whether the title would be receiving a dedicated physical release, and it appears that players will indeed have the option of picking up a physical copy, albeit with a few cave

If this is true, this would run contrary to Game Science's own statements about optimization issues with the title's Xbox version and gamers' assertions about this being a problem with the Xbox Series S. After all, a few developers have claimed in the past that the Xbox Series S is holding games back , so some are presuming that Black Myth: Wukong 's Xbox port is struggling to run on the underpowered console. Ultimately, though, there isn't enough evidence to suggest that any of these theories about Black Myth: Wukong 's delay on Xbox platforms are 100% correct, so it's best to take all of these assertions with a grain of s

As a filthy casual, I can confirm that Black Myth is not going to be a beginner-friendly entry point to the genre, but it’s also easy to see this is the real deal - something that transcends the label of ‘Dark Souls clone’ and stands on its own as a competent, well-designed action RPG. The only criticisms I have are about the generic forest environments that, while beautiful, don’t leave much room for exploration, nor do they inspire the imagination the way Bloodborne’s Yarnham or even Lies of P’s Krat do. This is just the game’s intro though, so I anticipate there’s a lot more to see.

In a statement provided to Windows Central , a Microsoft representative provided some official comments about Black Myth Wukong 's delay on Xbox consoles. Stating that the company is "excited for the launch" of the upcoming Xbox game , the spokesperson said that the console manufacturer is "working with Game Science to bring the game" to Xbox platforms. "We can't comment on the deals made by our partners with other platform holders," said Microsoft, "but we remain focused on making Xbox the best platform for gamers, and great games are at the center of th

Anyone who has seen trailers and preview footage for Black Myth: Wukong is likely to pick up on one key characteristic: boss fights are a defining part of the experience. This comes as no surprise, as Black Myth: Wukong 's combat and boss fights are indeed similar to those found in the Soulslike genre. However, they still strive to be different in ways that enable the game to stand out in the vast sea of titles it is often compared

In a surprising move, Microsoft has provided an official response regarding the recent delay of Black Myth: Wukong on Xbox Series X/S. Although the statement itself doesn't provide explicit answers to any lingering questions about Black Myth: Wukong 's postponed release on the platform, a report from a trusted insider suggests that there could be more to this situation than initially belie

As the game's August 20 release date draws closer, Black Myth: Wukong has a lot of potential to be a great addition to the genre that FromSoftware started. There is still an ample amount of mystery surrounding the game, but based on early footage and trailers, Black Myth: Wukong looks to have some thrilling gameplay mechan
